Admission of Egberto Lacerda Teixeira, Nelson Pinto e Silva and other lawyers from “Moura, Teixeira, Gouvêa e Silva Advogados”, setting up Tozzini, Freire, Teixeira e Silva Advogados, which is now headquartered on Rua Libero Badaró. Starting of the firm’s computerization, a pioneering process in the legal industry.
Implementation of a career and remuneration system at TozziniFreire, one of the first Brazilian law firms to establish this kind of system. At the time, TozziniFreire had 69 employees.

Creation of the External Relations Department, in charge of the firm’s image, currently the Business Development and Corporate Communications Department (DDNC). Launch of TozziniFreire's first website. Creation of our Foreign Desks: first Japan Desk and Korea Desk and, subsequently, China Desk.
Creation of our first Executive Committee. It is the beginning of the implementation of corporate governance. Opening of the Rio de Janeiro office.

Creation of the Human Resources area, called Human and Organizational Development Department (DDHO). Implementation of electronic document management system. Starting of the Citizenship Development project, which in 2004 evolved into our Social Responsibility area.
TozziniFreire is the first Brazilian law firm to create its own compliance program, resulting in the Code of Ethics and Conduct, in addition to the code of ethics of the Brazilian Bar Association.
Implementation of the new Social and Environmental Responsibility Program, focusing on three main pillars: environmental education, digital inclusion and legal inclusion.
Opening of the Campinas branch office.

Creation of ThinkFuture, the first innovation program of a Brazilian full-service law firm. Starting of our biweekly Business Meetings to discuss and promote commercial initiatives gathering all partners and senior lawyers.
The pandemic speeded up changes and introduced a new way of working. In a 100% online environment, we maintained our level of excellence and commitment to our clients, partners and the society. TozziniFreire is the first law firm to join CEBDS (Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development).
We got here with 55 areas and 25 industry groups. Among partners, lawyers, interns and administrative staff, women are the majority: 63%. Currently, TozziniFreire features a team of 90 partners – of this total, seven are part of the Executive Committee, the institution's highest body, in which the female participation represents 60%.
